2019 Girls Golf

Holly Girls Golf 2019
2019 Jim Sander Memorial -- 2nd Place
2019 Larry Judson Scramble -- 3rd Place

The 2019 season for the varsity girls' golf team was successful by any measure. The team was 7-2 in match play against the Flint Metro League--8-2 overall with a win over Durand at the end of their season. Seniors Kate Brown and Kelsey Malone were two of the best golfers in the entire league, both earning First Team All Flint Metro League honors. Freshman Kendall Stilwell was a key part of the team's success this season, earning Second Team All Flint Metro League honors and routinely being a contributor to each of the team's overall scores.

Senior Makayla Bilbia, junior Lauren Lesch, and freshman Ella Bush were all first-time golfers, but each of them was critical to the success of the varsity team. Between the three of them, each golfer was responsible for providing at least one round total to ensure a Holly victory in each of the team's eight victories in match play.

Along with a successful record, the team also found success in tournaments, placing second overall in the Jim Sander Memorial Tournament at Prestwick Village and third place in the Larry Judson Golf Team Scramble at Glenbrier Golf Course. To add to their success on the course, the varsity team earned All-State Academic honors as recognized by the Michigan Interscholastic Golf Coaches Association (MIGCA).
