Varsity Girls Cross Country 2018

Holly School Record Holder Andrea Ruiz placed 32nd at the Division 1 MHSAA state finals missing All-state by 2 places. She was recognized as Academic All-State. Her splits of 6:09, 6:05 & 6:00 were exactly as a professional runner would run.. In fact, Andrea was 29th place with 100 meters to go. Andrea was 80th place early in the race of 265 runners and ended up 32nd catching nearly 50 runners, in the last 2 miles of the race. Given the graduation rate of the runners ahead of her this fall, the future looks bright for Holly's young harrier.
