2023 Male Athlete of the Year -- Ashton DeHart

Over his time as a Broncho, Ashton was a three-sport four year athlete at HHS and excelled in each of the sports in which he played. Ashton earned a total of 7 varsity letters over his four years at HHS. In the fall, Ashton could be found on the football field where he was a two-time team captain, a multi-time Flint Metro League all-league honoree, including being named first team all-league his senior year. Ashton thrived as a combination of a tight end on the offensive side of the ball and an outside linebacker/DE on defense. He was instrumental in the success of the 2022 varsity football team that earned the first postseason berth for Holly HS in the last six years. In the winter, Ashton was star on the basketball court for the Bronchos. He was the glue guy for the team doing all the little things such as rebounding, defending the other team’s best player, and drawing multiple charges to help lead the Bronchos to the 2023 Flint Metro League title. Up until this spring, Ashton was a baseball player for the Bronchos where he earned 2nd team all-league honors as a junior. This spring, Ashton decided to spend his last season as a Broncho as a member of the golf team.
