Hillary Timm

Softball • Girls Volleyball • Girls Basketball
Year: 2010
2010 Female Athlete of the Year

Hillary was a three-sport athlete and earned nine varsity letters…one in basketball, and four in both volleyball and softball. She was named State Bank/Tri-County “Athlete of the Week” during softball season all four years. Softball was really where Hillary excelled. She captained the team from shortstop much of the time or directed the team from behind the plate. Runners on base didn't often attempt a steal often as area coaches knew she would gun them down. Hillary earned Holly’s Miss Softball award and currently holds 10 SB records…Career – 191 hits, 54 doubles, 17 triples, 4 home runs, 116 RBI’s, .516 batting average, .537 on base average; Season – 23 doubles, 10 triples, 2 homeruns, .581 batting average, and .614 on base average. The SB coaches of the FML knew her well and she earned honorable mention her FR and SO years and 1st team honors her JR and SR years. She also was chosen to the all-district and all-region teams during her senior year.

Hillary was named our Holly HS Athlete of the Year not only because of her ability on the court or field…but because of who she was. Hillary was the backbone, the heart and soul of her teams. When speaking with her coaches they have only high praises to sing.

Volleyball coach Superczynski stated “Hillary is not only an exceptional athlete but a remarkable person. Everything Hillary has received she has worked very hard for. She never takes “no” for an answer and lets nothing stand in her way of success. She was lauded as a strong leader and a role model for younger student-athletes.”

Combined comments from basketball coaches Dave Hall and Casey Lombard include: “Hillary was our teams voice of reason. She was never too emotional and is one of the most unselfish athletes I’ve ever coached. She truly wanted the best for our team, even if it meant sacrificing her personal success and gains. Her performance in both the classroom (3.519 gpa) and in athletics is a model for all student-athletes to follow”.

Softball coach Barry Bailey stated “Hillary has many admirable qualities including her strong work ethic, her energy and her commitment to the team. She never expects anyone to do anything that she would not do herself. Not only was she a team captain for three years, she was the coach on the field. Her shoes will be very hard to fill. I think very highly of her and know that she will be very successful in life with everything she pursues.”
