Jackie was an outstanding cross country and track athlete and earned eight varsity letters. In cross country, she earned the honor of being the 1st ever four-time Flint Metro League champion. Additionally, she was a MHSAA regional champion, was named two times 1st team All-Oakland County and her junior and senior year was named to the All-State team. The United States Association of Track and Field named her to the All-American cross country team…twice! During her four year career, Jackie NEVER lost a cross country meet to a league foe. Jackie’s teammates chose her their MVP three times. Jackie also excelled in the classroom (10th in her class) and was named to the All-State academic team three times.

During the spring you could find Jackie on the track. Throughout middle school and high school, Jackie NEVER lost a 3200 meter run to another FML runner. She was the 3200 meter run Flint Metro League champion four times and was a three-time regional champion in the same event and was the team MVP all four years. Michigan was represented by Jackie when she competed as one of ten team members in the Mid-East Meet of Champions which includes teams from Ohio, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Indiana and Illinois.

• Holly Kiwanis Female Athlete of the Year
• State Bank Female Athlete of the Year
• Holly HS Female Student-Athlete of the Year

Jackie’s stellar career continued at Hillsdale College where, in cross country, she was named 1st team All-GLIAC, 2nd team All-Region and NAIA All American. Jackie earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Health and Education. Her family, including husband Matt and son Jacob, live in Swanee, Georgia.
