2008 Female Athlete of the Year

Brandi was a three-sport athlete and earned six varsity letters…three in track & field, two in basketball and one in swimming. She was named State Bank/Tri-County “Athlete of the Week” twice. Brandi also excelled in the classroom where she maintained a 3.72 cumulative GPA and was a FML scholar athlete her sophomore, junior and senior years.

Brandi has earned numerous honors in track & field:

Sophomore Year - Rookie of the Year
1st team FML 300m hurdles
3rd team FML 800m relay

Junior Year - Team MVP
2nd team FML 100m hurdles
3rd team FML 300m hurdles
5th place all county 100m hurdles
4th place all region 300m hurdles
5th place all region 100m hurdles
7th place all region 1600m relay

Senior Year - 3rd team FML 100m hurdles
3rd team FML 300m low hurdles

Regarding Brandi, track & field coach Rob Basydlo stated, “you could not ask for a more complete student-athlete. Her leadership skills, work ethic and positive attitude have made Brandi a fine all around three-sport athlete. Brandi has also made positive impacts on all of her teammates, setting high standards, pushing herself as well as others so they can reach their optimum level.”
