2007 Male Athlete of the Year

Korey was a two-sport athlete…football and baseball during his career at Holly and earned four varsity letters.

Numerous honors were bestowed on Korey…a few of which include:
--1st team all league running back his junior year and senior years
--1st team all league defensive back his senior year
--1st team tri county running back his junior and senior years
--1st team all county running back his junior and senior years
--HM running back in Oakland County

Football records have been kept in Holly for many, many years. Korey’s name was added to that list. He was the 2nd all time leading rusher for the Bronchos. His talent, on both sides of the ball, and his mental toughness was a key factor in the 7-2 regular season record our football team posted thus leading us to a playoff berth for the first time in our school’s history. Korey was the football team MVP each of his four years. Korey currently holds the baseball record for the most stolen bases in a season.

Mike Millhouse, our football coach at the time who has years of experience, stated “Korey is one of the most mentally-tough athletes I have coached. He played with incredible heart and desire. He is undoubtedly one of the best football players to come through Holly in a long time.
