Individuals
Induction Year: 2002
Recipient of the Holly High School Distinguished Service Award
President of the Holly Athletic Booster Club
HHS Class of 1947

Jay “Bud” Parker was a life-long resident of Holly. He was born on February 4, 1929 and passed away at the age of 72 on November 21, 2001. As a Class of 1947 Holly graduate, Bud never stopped being a “Broncho”. Bud served for a time as president of the Holly Athletic Booster Club. He continued to attend both girls’ and boys’ contests even after his children, Jaye and Bobby, graduated. It didn’t matter what the sport…if it was soccer, basketball, football, tennis, etc. Bud was there. For five decades Bud supported the Holly athletic teams, often bringing treats or buying pizza for the players. He became a fixture at the home games. Seeing Bud on the sidelines cheering and supporting the youth of Holly was quite and inspiration. For all the support that Jay “Bud” Parker gave to the Bronchos over the years, we honor his “school spirit” by entering him into our Holly High School Broncho Hall of Fame with the Distinguished Service award.
