HHS Football Coach 1949-1956

During his eight seasons as football coach (1949-56), Protz guided the Bronchos to a 38-29-2 (.565) mark. His teams won 13 straight games from 1951-53. His best team was his 1952 squad which posted a 9-0 record…the school’s first undefeated season since 1932. That team won the Wayne-Oakland League championship and finished the season ranked No. 2 in the state in Class B.
