Stan played varsity football for 2 ½ years and was a varsity wrestler for four years at Holly HS. In the sport of football he earned all league honors for both his offensive and defensive play. He was a running back and a defensive end. At the end of his senior year in football, he held the school record for sacks.

Stan was an outstanding wrestler for Holly HS. During his sophomore year he was a Flint Metro League champion, an Oakland County champion and qualified for the MHSAA State Championships. His junior year he earned even more titles. He was again a league champion, an Oakland County champion and the MHSAA Regional champion. This year he not only qualified for the MHSAA state championships…he finished the year as the state runner-up. Each year got better.

Stan’s senior year he was a league champion, an Oakland County champion and the MHSAA Regional champion and last but not least…the 189 pound state champion! Upon graduation, Stan held the record for career wins with 169.

Stan received a partial scholarship to play football at Ferris State University. After one semester he quit college to pursue a career in auto racing…a sport he had also competed in throughout his youth.

Stan’s racing career began in 1991. He won several Midwest track championships in super-late model racing. Stan started his own NASCAR truck team in 1998. He also raced in the NASCAR Busch series and has made several attempts to qualify in the Winston Cup series.
